Dear Harbor Families,

Each year, the Harbor Gala is so much more than a wonderful party - it is a meaningful way to support the programs, experiences, and community that make Harbor such a special place. This year promises to be no exception.

We are delighted to invite you to the Gala in the Garden, held at the stunning Rockwood Manor on MacArthur Boulevard. This garden-themed evening will feature a plated dinner, a DJ and dancing, and an expanded schedule from 6:00–11:00 PM, giving us more time to gather, celebrate, and enjoy one another’s company. We hope you’ll join us for an unforgettable evening in support of our beloved Harbor.

In addition to a wide array of exciting silent auction items, this year we will also be hosting a Raise the Paddle moment to support the purchase of a new Harbor passenger van, replacing our outdated bus. This investment will expand opportunities for field trips, allowing our students to explore a wider range of enriching destinations and take full advantage of the incredible resources in our surrounding area.

A heartfelt thank-you to Lori Hurwitz, our art teacher, who is coordinating beautiful class artwork for the auction, and to our wonderful room parents for assembling themed class baskets (be sure to read Nicole’s HSFA updates below for more details). These items are always favorites, and we are grateful for the creativity and care behind them.

Our live auction lineup is still coming together, but we’re excited to share that it will include VIP tickets to a Washington Nationals game, generously donated by a Harbor family, along with a potential vacation home stay. We are still seeking one additional live auction item valued at $1,000 or more. If you have a connection or idea, we would love to hear from you. We also welcome sponsorships and additional auction donations from families and local businesses.
