A Letter from Leah
Dear Harbor Families,
With this week’s yo-yo weather, it’s clear that spring is on its way, even if it hasn’t quite settled in yet. We’re looking forward to welcoming the season and celebrating our wonderful Harbor community at this Saturday’s Gala in the Garden. It promises to be a fantastic evening in support of our school, and we’re delighted that our phenomenal incoming Head of School, Colleen Brown, will be joining us as we begin preparing for a smooth and positive leadership transition this spring.
Many thanks to those of you who have already started bidding in our silent auction! There is a wonderful range of items available—restaurant gift cards, travel experiences, spa and fitness packages, and of course the always-amazing class baskets and beautiful student artwork. You’ll also find some truly “uniquely Harbor” opportunities, such as school bus pick-up, a VIP dismissal parking spot, naming the multipurpose room, or serving as Head of School for the Day. The auction closes at 9:30 PM on Saturday, so be sure to get your bids in! And don’t forget to reserve a spot for your child in the popular teacher experiences (fixed-price items). These are limited to just four children per experience and are filling quickly.
While the adults in our community are getting excited for Saturday evening, the students are busy preparing for another beloved Harbor tradition: Harbor’s Got Talent! Our annual talent show features acts of all kinds—from performing arts and magic or comedy routines to “human tricks” and even sports demonstrations. If your child would like to participate and hasn’t yet registered an act, please do so by Monday so we can plan rehearsals and finalize the lineup. And of course, even if your child prefers not to be on stage, we warmly welcome everyone to join us as enthusiastic audience members.
Harbor’s Got Talent is always a joyful reflection of our school’s mission. It celebrates what makes each child unique, nurtures confidence and self-expression, and brings our community together in support of one another. It is sure to be another memorable evening for our students and families.
Thank you, as always, for the many ways you engage with and support our community, which helps our students to thrive!
Warmly,
Leah Musico
Head of School
