FOR GOOD
March 19, 2026

Dear Harbor Families,

After the adults got to party on Saturday evening at the Gala in the Garden, it’s the kids’ turn tonight! We are so excited for Harbor’s Got Talent, which is such a joyful reflection of who we are as a community - celebrating each child’s unique strengths while nurturing confidence, creativity, and a willingness to take risks. And of course, it’s a whole lot of fun!

This week’s rehearsals have been a delight, and we are all in for a treat tonight. The acts are as varied and unique as our students themselves - each one a meaningful expression of something they care about and are proud to share. One of the things I love most about this event is that it creates space for all kinds of performers. Children who might not typically gravitate toward the spotlight feel supported and encouraged to step forward in our Harbor community. It’s something really special.

On a personal note, Jude and I will be performing together tonight. We’ll be singing “For Good” from Wicked, For Good. As a family, we listened to this song often in the time just after my father’s passing this past fall, and its meaning has stayed with us. Even now, it’s hard to get through the lyrics without getting a little emotional. As Jude and I have been rehearsing, I’ve found myself thinking about this community and all that it has meant to our family. “Because I knew you, I have been changed for good.” This line feels especially fitting - as I think about our upcoming transition as a family, and for the many ways Harbor shapes and lifts every one of us lucky enough to be a part of the community.

We hope you’ll join us this evening, whether your child is performing or cheering from the audience. It’s sure to be a wonderful night.

Warmly,

Leah Musico
