LET’S GET TOGETHER
October 22, 2020

Dear Harbor Families,

It was really wonderful to see so many of our preschool, JK, and grade one families last night at the Family Pajama Parties, and we look forward to seeing our kindergarten and grade two families tonight (Kindergarten at 5:30-6:15 and Grade Two at 6:30-7:15).

The Pajama Party is a longstanding Harbor tradition that has always been a special way for our families to spend time together and celebrate the culmination of our annual book fair. This year, the tradition looks different than in the past, but the essential elements remain - a focus on the joy of reading and the importance of community-building!

Pajamas. Hot chocolate. A fire pit. A family picnic. An evening read aloud from their teachers. Even a surprise appearance by the Harbor school mascot. What could be better - especially when so much of our social lives have been disrupted? Last night, it was such a pleasure to see the kids delight in these simple pleasures, and for all of us to enjoy gathering together in cohorts. Masks and distancing didn’t get in the way of a great time!

As we move through this strange year, we will continue to create opportunities for us all to connect and strengthen relationships within the Harbor community. Whether virtually or distanced and in-person by cohort, we look forward to getting together!

Warmly,

Leah Musico
Head of School
