Dear Harbor Families,

By now, you all should have received a mailed invitation to your homes, inviting you to our 50th Anniversary Golden Gala at the KID Museum. We are simply thrilled to be hosting our celebratory event in such a phenomenal space. If you haven’t yet visited the new KID Museum location in downtown Bethesda at Bethesda Metro Center, you are in for a treat!

The space is stunning - the perfect place for us to be celebrating such an important milestone in Harbor’s rich history, particularly given our longstanding collaboration with KID and the alignment of our two organizations’ missions. We are so grateful to our friends at KID for sharing their beautiful space with us - as this is not typically something they do. What an honor!

The DJ and caterer are booked, and we are busy planning the flow of the evening, which will include passed hors d'oeuvres and buffet stations for dinner, a live and silent auction, a raffle, and yes - dancing! 

Items for the auction have been coming in, and include gift certificates for local restaurants and wellness centers, original art, Commanders tickets, a round of golf at Bethesda Country Club, a two-night stay in a New England inn, to name a few. The classes are creating class works of art, teachers are planning special outings, and other Harbor essentials like Head of School for the Day or VIP car line pick-up privileges are always popular.

Thank you for your individual donations, as well as your participation in building the class baskets. We are hoping to add to our donation with a collection of wine from the community. If you are able to bring in a bottle of wine, as a donation, that would be wonderful! (Feel free to drop them off in the car line - we promise we won't drink them!) :) 

And one more thing - the celebration is an adults-only event, so be sure to secure a babysitter! Tickets are available here.
