This summer, each session at CAMP HARBOR has a unique and exciting adventure theme for all campers to engage and participate in through inquiry-based projects, interactive activities, and the arts. Each week encompasses interactive and collaborative activities that foster creativity. Campers will get to experience everything from a journey to the galaxy to the excitement of the jungle! Campers will have opportunities to participate in various activities including water play, outdoor group games, arts and crafts, maker experiences and design challenges, a talent show, and so much more!

June 24-28
JOURNEY THROUGH THE GALAXY
It is time to be an astronomer and explore our galactic home, the Milky Way! Did you know that the Milky Way contains over 100 billion stars? Campers will enjoy an invigorating week filled with discovery while exploring topics such as the solar system, stars, supernovas, and the black hole. Campers will create themed projects using a variety of materials and mediums. There will be plenty of opportunities for movement with galaxy themed indoor and outdoor games, and creative movement. It is sure to be an out of this world week! 

July 1-5 (No Camp July 4)
JOURNEY THROUGH NATURE
Let’s adventure to the natural world and learn more about the wildlife of Maryland! We will learn about the animals that dwell in our state including species of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and fish. We will spend time learning about plant and insect life. Campers will have the opportunity to visit our very own bamboo forest here at Camp Harbor! 

July 8-12
JOURNEY INTO THE JUNGLE
It is time for an adventure to the jungle! Do you have a favorite animal?  Every wonder about animal life in the jungle? We will journey to the jungle to learn all about incredible animals such as: jaguars, tigers, monkeys, sloths, and toucans -to name a few. We also explore the jungle biome and what makes jungles unique! This week will be filled with projects, discovery, movement, and creativity! 

July 15-19
JOURNEY TO THE OCEAN
Imagine you are a scuba diver, exploring the ocean floor. What would you like to see? We will adventure to the ocean to explore ocean life! We will learn all about animals, plants, and nautical vessels. Campers will explore the ocean through a variety of activities, projects, and through the arts. There will also be plenty of interactive games both indoors and outdoors, as we learn about ocean life through play! This week is sure to make a real splash!

July 22-26
JOURNEY TO THE CAMP HARBOR OLYMPICS
Let’s get ready for the 2024 games in Paris! Each day we will learn all about the Olympic games through engaging and interactive activities. This will be a week packed with indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, and sports! Journey with us to the 2024 Camp Harbor Games! 

July 29-August 2
JOURNEY TO THE AMAZING WORLD OF ENGINEERING
It is time to be engineers as we build and create a myriad of projects! We will explore, design, build, and create through a variety of interactive projects and collaborative design challenges. We hope you will join in on the fun as we become engineers this week!

August 5-9
JOURNEY TO THE CARNIVAL 
Adventure to the Carnival at Camp Harbor! We will use our imaginations to create all of the wonder of a carnival at Camp Harbor.  We will conclude with a week filled with carnival activities with plenty of interactive games and opportunities for movement!

CIT Program
The Counselor in Training (CIT) and CIT Jr. programs at Camp Harbor provides training for older students to gain experience as a Camp Counselor – and an opportunity to earn Student Service Learning, or SSL, hours. Throughout the summer CITs will have opportunities to foster their leadership skills. Additionally, CITs will have opportunities for professional development led by our Camp Director, Ashley Howard. Spots are limited so sign up today!

The CIT Junior program is available for rising fifth graders through rising eighth graders.
The CIT program is available for rising and current high school students.

REFUNDS:

Refund requests must be made in writing prior to June 1, 2024. No refunds will be given for withdrawal after May 31, 2024 regardless of the reason. A $50 non-refundable registration fee is included as part of the weekly tuition for each camper. These fees will not be returned should a camper withdraw from the program.
