Dear Harbor Families,
There is a sign in the front office that reads “9 Days of School.” It’s hard to believe that we are wrapping up another wonderful year at Harbor, but all the signs are pointing to it!
Our third graders are currently on their annual outdoor adventure with Calleva, exploring water activities, zip lines, and a family dinner at Calleva Farm. Across the building, classes are planning end-of-year celebrations, class albums are being finalized, and preparations are underway for our community picnic at Cabin John Park on the last day of school. (Don’t forget to place your class album order by tomorrow if you haven’t already!)
One of Harbor’s most meaningful end-of-year traditions is the Grade 3 Moving On Ceremony. On the final day of school, the entire community comes together to celebrate our graduating students and all they have accomplished during their time at Harbor. The ceremony includes musical performances, slideshow presentations featuring memories from the year and baby/toddler photos, reflections from students, and, of course, the presentation of certificates. Following the ceremony, families are invited to stay for a reception complete with cake (yes, in the morning!), gifts, and plenty of photo opportunities.
Our third graders leave Harbor as confident, kind, and capable students, ready for the opportunities and challenges ahead. They are enrolled in an impressive range of independent and public schools, each thoughtfully matched to the individual strengths and needs of the child and family - a reflection of Harbor’s commitment to truly knowing and supporting every student throughout their journey here and during the outplacement process.
This year’s graduates will be attending:
We are so proud of our graduating third graders and cannot wait to see all that their futures hold. We hope they will come back to visit often!
Warmly,
Leah Musico
Head of School
