Camp Harbor 2020 Weekly Themes

Session 1 (6/22 – 6/26): Brick by Brick
From design challenges to printing their own bricks on a 3D printer, campers will explore the wonderful world of Legos during this amazing first session. Campers will even bring their own mini-figure characters to life through the magic of stop-motion animation.

Session 2 (6/29- 7/3): Clue Me In 
Calling all detectives! Do you have what it takes to follow the clues? Campers will be plunged headfirst into a Camp Harbor mystery while they learn about dusting for fingerprints and cracking codes.

Session 3 (7/6 – 7/10): We Can Be Heroes 
Up, up, and away! Campers will create their own hero persona, complete with a costume, in this super third session. Our young heroes will then have the opportunity to star in their own short comic book adventures and film trailers.

Session 4 (7/13 – 7/17): Game On 
You sunk my Battleship! Campers will design and build their own board games in this exciting summer session. Children will also learn and play games from around the world as they explore teamwork and sportsmanship.

Session 5 (7/20 – 7/24): Play Time
Back by popular demand, this awesome session gives our young thespians a chance to shine. Campers will create sets and costumes as they stage a wonderful original production for friends and family.

Session 6 (7/27 – 7/31): Campfire Stories 
Are you ready for s’more fun? Campers will discuss the basics of camping while also learning what it takes to spin a good yarn around the campfire. Campers will explore nature, storytelling, and orienteering in this exciting penultimate session.

Session 7 (8/3 – 8/7): Go For the Gold 
As the 2020 Summer Olympics are taking place in Tokyo, Camp Harbor will hold its own special week of sports in Bethesda. Campers will design uniforms and participate in the first ever Camp Harbor field day!

Camp Hours:
Full Day- 9:00am – 3:00pm
Half Day- 9:00am – 12:00pm
Early Birds- 8:00am – 9:00am
Later Gators- 3:00 – 6:00pm

Early Birds: 8:00-9:00am $65/week, $15/day drop-in
Later Gators: 3:00-6:00pm $130/week, $30/day drop-in

Age Requirements:
All campers must be between 3.5 and 9 years of age at the start of the session they plan to attend.

Camp Harbor participation for older students:
For information on our Harbor Helper (rising fifth graders), C.I.T. (rising middle schoolers), and Junior Counselor (rising high schoolers) programs, contact our Camp Director, Seth Fangboner.


Late Fees:
Later Gators ends promptly at 6:00pm. Families will be billed $2.00 for every minute past 6:00pm.

Refund requests must be made in writing prior to June 1, 2019. No refunds will be given for withdrawal after May 31, 2019, regardless of the reason. A $50.00, non-refundable registration fee is included as part of the weekly tuition for each camper. These fees will not be returned should a camper withdraw from the program.

Medical Forms:
All medical information and authorization forms must be completed and on file at least one week prior to each camper’s start date. Campers will not be permitted to start camp without completed paperwork and full payment.
