Camp Harbor 2019 Weekly Themes

Session 1 (6/24-6/28): Taking Care of Business (Entrepeneurship)
Campers will take the reins of their own small businesses! Children will design products, market them, and then sell their goods on campus.

Session 2 (7/1-7/5): Use Your Illusion (Magic)
Do you believe in magic? Campers will learn a few new tricks while they explore many types of visual illusions.
*Please note that Camp Harbor is closed on July 4th.

Session 3 (7/8-7/12): Claymation Celebration (Animation)
​Through the magic of stop-motion animation, campers will bring their own clay characters to life on the screen.

Session 4 (7/15-7/19): Play Time (Drama)
Back by popular demand, this amazing session gives our young thespians a chance to shine. Campers will create sets and costumes as they stage a wonderful original production for friends and family.

Session 5 (7/22-7/26): Marble Madness (Design Thinking)
The Makerspace is the place to be in Session 5! Daily design challenges will have campers creating marble runs with tubes and ramps.

Session 6 (7/29-8/2): Everyday HEROs (Service Learning)
Our H.E.R.O. (Harbor Enjoys Reaching Out) program comes to summer camp! The service-learning approach combines learning objectives with community service to provide a pragmatic learning experience while meeting the needs of our greater community.

Session 7 (8/5-8/9): Lights, Camera, Harbor! (Filmmaking)
Our final week offers campers an opportunity to create their own trailers and shorts. From storyboarding to editing, children will learn the steps to constructing awesome video productions.

CAMP HARBOR SIGN-UP

Camp Hours:
Full Day- 9:00am – 3:00pm
Half Day- 9:00am – 12:00pm
Early Birds- 8:00am – 9:00am
Later Gators- 3:00 – 6:00pm

Early Birds: 8:00-9:00am $65/week, $15/day drop-in
Later Gators: 3:00-6:00pm $130/week, $30/day drop-in

Age Requirements:
All campers must be between 3.5 and 9 years of age at the start of the session they plan to attend.

Camp Harbor participation for older students:
For information on our Harbor Helper (rising fifth graders), C.I.T. (rising middle schoolers), and Junior Counselor (rising high schoolers) programs, contact our Camp Director, Seth Fangboner.

Late Fees:
Later Gators ends promptly at 6:00pm. Families will be billed $2.00 for every minute past 6:00pm.

Refunds:
Refund requests must be made in writing prior to June 1, 2019. No refunds will be given for withdrawal after May 31, 2019, regardless of the reason. A $50.00, non-refundable registration fee is included as part of the weekly tuition for each camper. These fees will not be returned should a camper withdraw from the program.

Medical Forms:
All medical information and authorization forms must be completed and on file at least one week prior to each camper’s start date. Campers will not be permitted to start camp without completed paperwork and full payment.

Harbor School
