Thank you for your interest in The Harbor School. Our admissions process reflects our educational philosophy in the classroom – individualized, interactive, and experiential!
While our biggest entry points are in Preschool, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten, we also welcome many new students to our elementary grades (1st-3rd grades). Our admissions committee, composed of admissions team members and teachers, meets each applicant to Harbor. We consider the whole child during this process, including chronological age, maturity, academic, social emotional, and physical development.
During the admissions process, you will meet with a member of the admissions team, and also have an opportunity to meet Ms. Leah Musico, our Head of School. You will have a chance to tour the school, and learn more about how our small class sizes provide an environment where each child is known, nurtured, celebrated and challenged to reach their potential. Our carefully mapped out curriculum prepares our graduates for their “next step” schools, of which there is a wide variety, once again supporting our belief that each child is an individual.
Thank you for your interest in The Harbor School! We are looking forward to getting to know your family!
Sincerely,
Andrea Zuraf
Director of Admissions
