Dear Harbor Families,
For teachers, Back to School Night marks the end of the beginning of the school year, and an exciting time of the year. We are eager to welcome you this evening!
In the building today, we have been busy finalizing folders full of helpful information, putting the last touches on slide decks for tonight’s presentations, and setting up the building for this evening’s program. Teachers are ready to share information about the curriculum, classroom routines, and home/school collaboration - which is so essential for each student’s success.
The evening begins at 6:30 PM with an information fair, where you will have the chance to mix and mingle with one another - while visiting stations to learn about our specials in PE, Music, Art, and Spanish, talk with our Learning and Literacy Specialist, meet representatives from the Family Association, and learn about programs such as enrichment and Music Kids. (There will be hors d'oeuvres in case dinner eludes you, with all the activity this evening!) Following a State of the School address and some introductory comments, you will be invited to the classrooms to learn about your child’s experience in the grade level. (As a reminder, these presentations are designed to share general information about the grade level and are not a time to talk about individual students.) The evening will conclude at 8 PM.
We hope that tonight provides you with the information, relationships, and connections that will support your child through a year of growth and learning for your child! We can’t wait to see you tonight!
Warmly,
Leah Musico
Head of School
